| ""Banned Books" or Planned Deception?" |
Isn't it amazing that with all the talk about how "it takes a village to raise a child," a private organization like the American Library Association can turn a blind eye to its responsibilities to inform parents and help them protect children from obscene, age-inappropriate, illegal reading and Internet materials in a publicly subsidized library?
The ALA's annual "Banned Books Week" is purely a propaganda smoke screen to alarm the public into thinking that it is "censorship" to keep sexually-explicit reading materials away from children, thereby ensuring that children have free access to pornography, at the tax-payers expense. Don't be naive in thinking that Tom Sawyer and Harry Potter exemplify the books most challenged by concerned parents. The ALA would allow your child free access to all adult obscene materials, including child pornography, without your knowledge or consent. |
