Chicago Tribune promotes deviant sex

On Memorial Day weekend, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Chicago played host to what must be one of the most perverse sexual celebrations ever dreamed up by sinful men: the "International Mr. Leather" (IML) conference.
"Leathermen" are sadomasochists (in this case, mostly homosexuals) who glory in a pseudo "macho" sexual ethic--probably to make up for their masculine deficit as sexually-confused "gay" men.
Sadistic/masochistic "leather" sexuality often includes consensual sexual violence (beating, whipping, or otherwise inducing pain as part of sex) and "consensual" degradation and humiliation between "partners."
One IML event, posted on the IML website, was advertised as "Masters and Slaves Together." It catered to "those interested in the Master/slave lifestyle."
(TRANSLATION: one man agrees to being completely dominated by another, by serving as his willing "slave" (this includes being his "sex slave"). Sadistic "masters" have been seen leading their masochistic "slaves" around on a leash, like a dog.)
Forget about Sudan. Thanks to sexual extremists, there's slavery in America!
No, I am not making this stuff up and, yes, truth IS stranger than fiction.
It is hard to find words to describe these perversions without sullying yourself in the process. Suffice it to say one branch of this "leather" subculture celebrates "pig sex" (their words--believe it or not, they involve urination in their "sex play").
Yet there was the Tribune's politically-correct "Red Eye" newspaper, geared to hip, younger readers, doing a fluffy interview May 26 with the outgoing "Mr. Leather,"--as if IML was just another convention coming to Chicago. Thus the Tribune gave free, uncritical publicity to the IML conference with no clue as to the dangerous and sick behaviors, including consensual "slavery," that it condoned.
Two of the Tribune Company's core values are "diversity" and "integrity," so I wonder: would the Trib justify its "Mr. Leather" coverage as "celebrating diversity"? Regardless, in this case they sure lacked integrity.
After reading the superficial interview by the Red Eye's Chris LaMorte (reprinted in full below), I decided to go down to Chicago on Memorial Day, the last day of IML, to gather evidence on this twisted event.
As you can imagine, this idea didn't go over too well with my wife. Anyway, I arrived at the Hyatt Regency, and made my way down to where the IML vendors were set up in a vast "Leather Market," which was open to the public and mentioned in the Tribune's Red Eye story.
I paid my two-dollar entrance fee and passed by a femmy "leather" guy who was happily greeting visitors with the line, "Welcome to the WalMart of porn!" At the vendors' area, I found booth upon booth--there were over a hundred--selling whips, handcuffs, electric "torture" devices, leather "hoods," etc., a veritable cornucopia for the deviant. The man was right: there was also tons of the most disgusting pornography imaginable for sale at reduced prices, right there are at the glitzy Hyatt Regency!
Leathermen embrace behaviors at the fringe of the sexual fringe. One San Francisco outfit's booth sold only porn videos depicting "barebacking--"gay" slang for condomless sodomy. Other booths sold sadistic hard-core porn too gross to describe here (and this was just at the vendor's market!).
As it says in Bible, "they invent ways of doing evil." (Romans 1:30)
Perhaps I will send some of my evidence to the Tribune Company's executive staff, so they can see what they promoted to the public.
Drugs, anyone?
Another IML vendor-the Bijou Theater, a Chicago porn theater that doubles as a place where homosexual men hook up for anonymous sex--sold "poppers," a popular gay "club drug." Poppers are a bottled liquid that is inhaled through the nose to relax the muscles--a necessity for deviant sexual behavior. However, they also SUPRESS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM of users.
The deadly combination of immune-weakening drugs and disease-causing sex is putting homosexual men in great danger, but that didn't seem to matter to the IML or the Hyatt Regency. (Two years ago, an IML attendee, Stephen Scott, died of an apparent drug overdose at IML, at the same Hyatt hotel.)
All across America, "gay" event organizers are encouraging dangerous behaviors through events like IML, while simultaneously promoting "safe sex" and drug-use education at the same events. That's sort of like having Nicorette sponsor a Marlboro convention.
Why expose International Mr. Leather?
Because Christians and others who stand up for God-given, natural sexuality within marriage oppose illicit, harmful BEHAVIORS, not people. And yet the same media who slander us as "prejudiced" REFUSE to shed critical light on even the most extreme behaviors that fall under the rubric of "alternative lifestyles." By winking at and even publicizing events like the IML, the Chicago Tribune is condoning perversion and helping to send sexually-confused men to an early grave.
That's liberal compassion for you.
Remember: when liberals cry "tolerance," we need to ask: Tolerate what? Then let them explain why we as a society should NOT discourage extreme sexual and lifestyle behaviors that are potentially deadly to those involved, a costly public health hazard, and morally wrong.
The Iraq prison scandal shows that the media are not afraid to expose ugly (sexual) behaviors, so why won't they do so on the homosexual issue, or expose the horrifying truth about HOW an abortion kills a baby in the womb?
